Hi!  I’m Cindy Baker, and that’s me in a state of travel bliss.   That’s when your travels lead to a feeling of utter joy.  You’re in the moment, happy, and oblivious to everything else.

It doesn’t happen often enough.  Life gets in the way.

I’ve always been a nose-to-the grindstone type in my careers in journalism, law and government relations.  But in the last few years, I was hit with a series of family tragedies, on top of a highly demanding job.  It felt like I was mired in a cloud of gloom.  It was time to make a change.

Now,  I’m on a mission to get my ‘happy’ back.  And I travel whenever I can.  As this article shows, travel is good for your health and happiness.

The pursuit of travel bliss is a subjective one.  For me, it includes many things:  nature, dynamic cities, cafes with character, books, luxury and decadent desserts.  It’s also about learning stuff, connecting with people and, hopefully, doing something good along the way.  It’s about the experience.

Life is short.  That’s why I’m seeking my Travel Bliss Now.

I want to help you find your happy place too.  If, like me, you want to have more blissful travel experiences in your life, I hope you’ll follow along on my journey.

Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.  – Joseph Campbell
